System Supervisor - Charge Description Master – Full-time, work-from-home, $39-$41 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a growing team!
Required Qualifications of the System Supervisor - Charge Description Master
- 5+ years of recent revenue integrity, charge capture, or mid-revenue cycle experience required
- 2+ years of recent leadership/supervisory experience required
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CHRI certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA, MHA, or MPH preferred
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Job Summary for the System Supervisor - Charge Description Master
Support RI leadership in the oversight of CDM activities including governance, strategy, and pricing for the enterprise with the goal to enhance effectiveness of patient net revenue realization and minimize revenue leakage across the system.
Responsibilities of the System Supervisor - Charge Description Master
- Supervise teams that support the CDM work to promote accuracy and integrity across revenue generating departments
- Support the manager in maintenance and enhancement of the CDM activities via CDM tools
- Support various revenue capture initiatives
- Consult with various stakeholders to help develop and implement policies and procedures for the purposes of having compliant and optimized chargemaster line items
- Identify opportunities for CDM improvement by implementing and analyzing the results of routine, random audits
- Support the manager in developing tools to track and identify potential areas of lost revenue
- Oversee CDM staff regarding the appropriate creation of CDM line items based on regulatory and billing guidelines
- Review changes in CPT codes, HCPCS codes, and revenue codes for accuracy and compliance with all applicable policies published by Federal, State and Commercial Insurance payers
- Support IT and manager related to routine maintenance with the CDM tool including new software releases/upgrades, merging updated CDM files, etc.
- Assist with the development of programs, initiatives, and workflows to provide alignment with education for internal customers to support improved CDM maintenance guidelines
- Ensure staff members are knowledgeable about revenue assurance needs and reimbursement issues identified through audits, reviews, and aggregate data analysis
- Review and analyze all CDM operations and financial reports
- Ensure best practices are adhered to and recommend changes as necessary
- Alert System Revenue Integrity leadership to any issues or potential issues of performance from business partners
